3D charts in Canva

Canva has charts, and they are flat pictures. In a presentation that is usually fine — until the slide is the whole argument, and a flat pie of five numbers is not going to carry it. A Volumine chart goes in as an embed and stays live: it turns while you talk, which is the difference between a slide people look at and a slide people watch.

Live, running in Canva the same way it runs here. Drag it.

How to put it in Canva

  1. 1

    Copy the link from the editor

    Build the chart at volumine.app/crear and press Copy link. A dark background usually reads better on a slide than a transparent one — pick it in the editor before copying.

  2. 2

    Use the Embed app

    In Canva, Apps → Embed. Paste the URL and press Add to design. The chart appears as an element you can move and resize on the slide.

  3. 3

    Present, do not export

    The chart is live in Present mode. If you export the design to PDF or PNG, Canva flattens it into a still image of whatever angle it was at — which is fine, but it stops turning.

The chart above, ready to paste

This is the exact tag for the chart you just dragged. It works anywhere that accepts HTML; the steps above are for editors that want a URL instead.

  width="100%"
  height="420"
  style="border:0"
  loading="lazy"
  title="Budget split"
></iframe>

Height is the only thing worth changing: the chart fits the width on its own, but it cannot guess how tall you want it.

What it costs the page

This is usually what decides whether you are allowed to embed something, so here are the numbers rather than adjectives:

Weight

148 KBThe whole 3D viewer, compressed.

Requests

1One file. Nothing else.

Cookies

0It does not track whoever sees it.

Third parties

0It calls no external server.

That is why an embedded chart adds no obligations to the privacy policy of the page you put it on. It is a constraint of the design, measured on every build — not a marketing promise.

What it will not do

  • Exported PDFs and images are flat. The chart only moves in Present mode or in a shared link that opens in the browser.
  • Canva embeds need a network connection while presenting. Offline, the slide shows an empty frame.
  • Embedded elements cannot be animated with Canva transitions the way native elements can.

Somewhere else?

If it accepts a link or an <iframe>, it accepts this.

Make yours

Paste your own numbers, pick a theme, copy the link. It takes about a minute and you do not need an account for any of it.
